Energy: Nuclear Power Plant Training & Documentation

Generic Fundamentals (GF)

GP’s Generic Fundamentals training materials are owned by over 60 nuclear power sites—more than 90% of US nuclear power plants—throughout the United States. Since the release of GF revision 4, 54% of those sites have upgraded to the new revision. That makes GP the industry’s preferred provider for NRC Generic Fundamentals Examination preparation materials.

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) administers the Generic Fundamentals Examination as part of its initial licensing process for US nuclear power plant operators. At GP, we have applied our 40+ years of nuclear industry experience to developing training materials designed specifically to prepare candidates for the NRC Generic Fundamentals Examination. GP’s GF training materials are designed to meet the requirements of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission addressed in the Knowledge and Abilities Catalog for Nuclear Power Plant Operators: PWR ( NUREG-1122) and the Knowledge and Abilities Catalog for Nuclear Power Plant Operators: BWR (NUREG-1123) . These materials can help your reactor operators and senior reactor operators earn the licenses they need to comply with NRC regulations.

Put the odds in your favor with GF course from GP.

The current GP GF materials incorporate a new study guide that details solutions to every question in the online NRC examination bank as of December 2007. This study guide will allow your students to understand why the correct answer is right and why each of the other distracters is unacceptable. GP’s NRC Examination Bank Study Guide is a great tool to master the requisite knowledge and apply that knowledge in a testing environment. This tool will allow your students to reinforce what they have learned in the GP GF student text and make their self study time more efficient. After all, you need them to learn the material and pass the test.

The NRC Generic Fundamentals Examination is currently offered four times a year. If you have been thinking about conducting a prep class for your prospective licensed operators, you need to plan ahead. If your instructor resources are limited, you should consider GP’s turnkey presentation of the Generic Fundamentals (GF) program. GP will supply the instructors and all of the materials for the class, including quizzes, examinations, and a final examination similar in scope and depth to the actual examination.

Do the GF revision 4 materials contain too much detail for your students at this time? Consider our ACAD Basic Curriculum training materials as an option for your accredited training programs.
